A new Logistic Center for Castano Primo Plant
The production site in Castano Primo (Milan, Italy) hosts the pre-impregnation processes of fabrics produced by the Angeloni Group. Inaugurated in 1976 as Impregnatex Srl and part of Angeloni Group since 2002, the facility is specialized in the production of advanced composites, utilizing carbon, aramid, and glass fibers combined with special matrices based on epoxy and phenolic resins.
Directed by Edoardo Torno, son of the founder Claudio Torno, Castano Primo plant is an important technological hub, thanks also to an R&D department constantly engaged in the development of new resin systems for pre-impregnated fabrics. With passion and a strong customer orientation, in the last years have been developed new high Tg transparent systems and structural systems for autoclave, hot press moulding and wrapping applications.
In Castano Primo plant, indeed, every day is dedicated to meeting and exceeding the quality and precision expectations of the market. And in this mission a special role is played by the innovative test center.
“Using state-of-the-art hot presses and a cutting-edge autoclave, we can in fact test our composite materials in the same working conditions of our customers, thus improving the performance of our products every day” explains Edoardo Torno “We specialize in performing both analytical (DSC, DMA & TGA) and static mechanical tests according to internationally recognized standards (ASTM). This allows us to thoroughly characterize our products, providing our customers with comprehensive performance data as laminated materials. Our commitment doesn’t stop there. We actively support our customers in overcoming processing challenges, accurately replicating their curing processes, and offering prompt technical feedback. This ensures our customers receive the best possible support for their unique needs”.
In order to serve our customer faster and better we approved today the project for a new logistic center in Castano Primo (Milan-Italy), close to our impregnation plant. The new 1.500 square meters refrigerated area will allow us to improve our efficency in the storing and distribution of our prepregs all around the world. The construction will start soon and will be operative by June 2025.
